TECH/PRODUCTION TEAM

What We Do:

We are people who love to use media and technology to help make an amazing worship experience at Journey. We think little things like good light transitions, getting the right lyrics on the screen, and clear audio play a big role in making a great worship experience! 


What To Expect/Time Involved:

We have three roles on our team: Media (everything that goes to the screens), Lighting, and Audio. Team members serve once a month and are asked to attend our preservice run-through at 8:00am and serve during our 9:30am and 11:00am services. 


Intro Process:

Our media and lighting positions do not require much more than general computer skills. Our team will provide you with specific training in the software/hardware that we use for production. After this, we ask you to spend up to four weeks shadowing and working with our team members during our weekend services to become familiar with our production tools. 


Running audio requires a bit more skill and experience than our other positions and may require a longer training/shadowing period. We still provide training and apprenticing for this position, but learning how to mix audio for music/video/preaching is a skillset that takes time to acquire. As such, this position takes a little more time and flexibility than our other positions.


Once new team members become proficient in production, we place them on our monthly rotations.
