Moms Group

Parenting is hard. Connect with other moms and share the journey together.

MOMS GROUP

every 1st & 3rd Thursday of the month

We have a morning session (9-10:30a) OR an evening session (6-7:30p) starting September 4.

Cost is $60 for the year to help with materials and childcare providers. Is this your first time in this group? You can come for a visit before registering!

Parenting is hard. Doing it without connecting with other mommas is harder. We are on this journey together. Take the next step, bring the kids and come hang out at Journey! Any and all mommas and kids are welcome. Have a friend that could benefit from hanging with us, invite her! Kids are in school? Come without them! Homeschool your kids? Bring them! We'll figure out this thing called life together!

Email [email protected] with any questions!

Q & A:

  • Ages for childcare?

We have a room for infants-4 (will divide if we have a lot of kids). We also have a room for any kids ages 5 and up who are homeschooled.

  • Info on your childcare providers?

All of our providers are background checked and trained in our children's ministry policies and procedures. They attend Journey Church as well.

  • What happens at a MOMs Group session?

We take turns signing up to bring a breakfast dish or snack/dessert to share with the group. After we drop the kids in their classrooms, moms have time to grab a bite to eat, enjoy a hot coffee, tea or water, and hang out with other mommas, sharing life together. We often follow a MOM/PARENTING curriculum. Although we may have faith talk sprinkled into the discussions/series, it is not forced upon anyone.

We also like to do things off-site like occasional play dates and MOMs night out!

  • Do you have to attend Journey Church in order to participate?

No, all are welcome to MOMs group no matter your religious affiliation, if any. Invite a friend to come along with you! The primary goal of our group is to create a supportive network where mothers can feel understood and less alone in their parenting journey.

You are more than welcome to try a service at Journey on a Sunday morning if you are looking for a church home, but it is not a criteria to be part of our MOMs group.

WHAT OTHER MOMS ARE SAYING ABOUT OUR MOMS GROUP:

I've been going to the morning group for a year and have gotten super close with several of the women there. Most of us our transplants to Jackson with kids in the same age range and have formed a really tight knit village.

It's a fun time to meet other moms and chat, without kids interrupting! I've met some awesome friends there!

Everyone is SO sweet and encouraging, and many of us are transplants/relatively new to the area.
