Non-Cash Gifts

Non-Cash Gifts to MAKE ROOM Because EveryONE Matters

The idea of "non-cash gifts" may be a foreign idea. Or, it may be something that you might think only "rich people" do. But the truth is that non-cash giving is how "regular people" can be really generous without "taking food off the table." When you're considering giving dollars out of your regular monthly income, that money has to come from somewhere else. Non-cash gifts are a way to stretch your generosity beyond your normal monthly capabilities.

For instance, if you have property like stocks, bonds, mutual funds or even land or houses, you can choose to give those things directly to Journey and we'll handle all of the details. Many times, if items like that were sold outright and the proceeds are given to Journey, you would still have the tax liability. But, if you choose to give those items to Journey and allow us to sell them, you won't have any tax burden as a result. We are able to receive the maximum value from your generosity and you aren't stuck holding the tax bill.

There are also benefits to giving non-cash items like collectables (i.e. cards, coins, stamps, etc) or valuables (ex: precious metals like gold or silver). If you were to sell those on your own, you would likely get the value that most people would get. If you choose to give those items directly to Journey, we have several outlets that are committed to what we're doing just like you and they are willing to pay more for those items than you could likely get on your own. Again, this is about maximizing the gifts that you are willing to sacrice to Make Room because Every ONE Matters!
